WEEKEND INTENSIVE WITH DEBRA ANN

May 16th - 18th
There is an aim to our practice. The path of practice leads to the realization that we can achieve wisdom beyond suffering, which is our essential nature. Therefore, we must continually clarify our understanding through study and practice. As we grow in experience and knowledge, we grow in wisdom, and as we mature in our wisdom we can bring forth qualities of generosity, patience, diligence, compassion and loving kindness from within ourselves. We will develop ease and clarity in all aspects of our life. This weekend seminar is an opportunity to engage deeply in the study and practice of the many aspects of yoga. Each aspect enhances the others, building a strong base of understanding and experience. As we move from session to session throughout the weekend, we will notice a growing sense of ease and joy. Attendance at all sessions is encouraged but sessions may be attended individually.
Debra Ann Robinson began Dharma practice in earnest while living in Berkley,CA in 1979. A thorough study and practice of asana, pranayama, and yogic philosophy lead a few years later to studying with B.K.S.Iyengar and his daughter, Geeta and son, Prashant in Pune, India. Encouragement to begin teaching deepened her practice and understanding and has inspired the love of yogic practice ever since. In 1985 sitting meditation practice developed further with the meeting of the Venerable Thrangu Rinpoche. Study and practice with Rinpoche continued ona regular basis. Along the way there have been many opportunities to learn from and practice with a variety of masters in many traditions. It is with a deep sense of joy and unity that the practice is communicated with others. Call to register.

ZEN WAY ZEN LIFE

TBA
DISCOVERING THE SACRED IN EVERYDAY LIFE: How do we "come home", both literally and spiritually? To understand the interconnection of the two is essential. How we "dwell there" in our homes and in our lives, the way we value and savor the sacredness of daily living, for the layperson, is "Authentic Spirituality", and the challenge of the 21st century. "Coming home", awakening to and realizing our true self, is a matter of being willing "to be fully present" and to enter into a deeper communion with the objects and mundane activities and responsibilities of everyday living, and to allow them to commune with oneself. Seijaku Roshi, Founder of The Zen Society, has begun a series of discussions on "Discovering the Sacred in Everyday Life". Each night will focus on a different aspect of daily living in modern America, as a venue for re-discovering the sacred in everyday living. Visit the Pine Wind Zen Society's Website www.thezensociety.org. Pre-registration is encouraged. $15-pre-registered or $20-at the door.
